Employability Skills Vidol
I went to a job apprenticeship fair and found out about funded driving courses and signed up immediately.
I attended a job centre apprenticeship fair and I was approached by a HCT Advisor who told me all about the course, I was very interested in the course content and I was told the course was funded by Greenwich Council and that HCT will offer me the support I needed to be able to achieve the qualification. When I attended the fair I was looking for a course to help me gain skills to pursue my main ambition to become a driver.
The course is very interesting with many areas relating to everyday life and I can see how I will be able to apply what I learn to possible work situations. I am enjoying the course, I have learnt a lot of things regarding safety on the roads, awareness and attitudes, as a pedestrian and as a driver, I am more confident in myself and with the support from my teacher, once I complete the course I will be applying to attend the level 2 Road Passenger Vehicle Driving Certificate to gain more skill, experience and hopefully the relevant licence to be able to apply for driving jobs. I do realise that I need to improve my English skills so I intend to apply for a level 2 Functional Skills in English course as soon as possible.
