ACL - Art History - Post Impressionism to Modernism (Study Group)

Have you ever wondered about the differences between Expressionism, Symbolism, Romanticism, Fauvism, and all the other ‘isms’ in Art History? If you have, then maybe this course is for you!
Each week students will investigate the stylistic changes, ideas, concepts and criticisms of the artists and movements that characterise the transition from ‘classical’ to ‘modern’ before the First World War. We will consider images and evidence to further our understanding of this complex and fascinating period in a relaxed, friendly and informal setting, with like-minded adults.
