‘Run the Club’ is a programme delivered by Vi-Ability which teaches key business and employability skills to young people. This programme introduces individuals to the management of sports clubs while supporting them to make a positive difference to their local community through social action.

The inspirational 8-week programme which is hosted at partner sports clubs is designed to foster entrepreneurship, develop confidence, interview skills and motivation. It has a range of awards and qualifications which are industry related, such as the Level 2 BTEC Award in the commercialisation of Football, Emergency First Aid, and Sports Leaders “Go Lead” Award, which will ultimately help individuals get back into work or education.

I learnt a geat deal about how football clubs operate behind-the-scenes and other jobs within the football industry besides playing and coaching.
