The safest way to enjoy fireworks is by going to an organised and professional display. If you can't go to a professional display, please remember:

You must be over 18 to buy fireworks, and it’s illegal to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am, this is extended to midnight on 5 November.

Personal bonfires and fireworks are not allowed in any of our parks, open spaces and housing estates.

Once the fireworks have been used, put them into a tub of water, and dispose of them in a bin the next day. Never try re-light them.

Build your bonfire clear of buildings, sheds, fences, hedges and check for any wildlife using a broom or pole.
