This week Cllr Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, announced that we're continuing to get things done by investing £36.4million in education for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Twenty-four million is earmarked for a primary-aged phase of Rowan Wood School that will be located at the Gallions Mount site in Plumstead. This is in addition to the secondary-aged phase of Rowan Wood that's already under construction at Hargood Road and due to open in early 2026. As well as this £12.4million will fund a new multi-use SEND centre at Bexley Road, Eltham.
