Introduction to childcare and early years

Our courses provide an introduction into working with children aged 0-11, providing an insight into job roles such as nursery assistant or teaching assistant. Explore child development, safeguarding, play-based learning and nutrition topics. Build your employability skills such as CV writing, interview preparation and goal setting to start your career. Courses lead to qualifications from Award Level to Level 2 Diploma.

Working within schools

Gain key knowledge and understanding of what is expected when working within an educational environment, supporting the wellbeing of a young person, and aiding their development. Some of our courses also offer support to secure a placement that may lead to a permanent role.

Course funding and training locations

Most of our courses are fully funded for Royal Greenwich residents. You can check your eligibility when you book with one of our selected training partners. Most courses are taught in person with some online options available – you can discuss any specific needs you have when you contact a training partner.
