Join GCDA Learning for Apple Day at WCCC to celebrate nature’s bounty. Inspired by the glut of apples that are harvested in autumn in the UK, we decided to celebrate all things apple-y with two special events! Come cook and sew your way through this mindful mix, either do one session or both….here are the details of the apple cooking event. You’ll find details of the sewing workshop in the Creative course section.
Using both WCCC’s indoor and outdoor cooking facilities, this three-hour session will focus on all things apple. You’ll learn how to make a tasty apple crumble, create a perfect apple sauce to accompany your roast of choice, and you’ll also get hints and tips on how to use apples in salads and other dishes. Expect a surprise or two along the way! This session also celebrates the launch of Woolwich Common Community Centre’s new upcycled outdoor kitchen. Please come with a warm jacket so that you can stay cosy for the outdoor part of the experience.
Please note we now require a £10.00 deposit which is refunded on completion of the course and on request. If this is a problem, please contact: learning@gcda.org.uk.
Please bring your proof of ID & NI number to the first session of the course, as an enrolment form needs to be completed.
Once you have registered you have agreed to our terms & conditions.
