Furlough ends on 30th September

Furlough ends on 30th September so does the Universal Credit uplift of £20 a week. The Government is ending furlough, also known as Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, and cutting the level of universal credit by £20 a week. We know this will be a very worrying time for people but we can help.

The council’s employment and skills service, Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB), can help you find a new job and is a one-stop-shop for financial and housing advice too. To register with GLLaB or if you know someone facing unemployment, financial hardship or at risk of becoming homeless, please follow the link below to complete the form and let us know what service you need:

• Employment
• Welfare, or
• Housing

You can choose all three services at the same time if needed. A member of staff will then be in touch by phone and can offer you an appointment at one of our sites in Woolwich, North Greenwich or Eltham

Don’t waste time, fill in the form on our website www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/furloughsupport or call an adviser today on 020 8921 2440
