Benefits of quitting smoking

Quitting smoking has many benefits including improving your physical health, boosting your mental health and your financial wellbeing. But did you know it is also better for your family and friends?

Teens whose parents or caregivers smoke are 4 times as likely to take up smoking. Becoming a smoke-free role model means your children are much less likely to take up smoking.

Quitting also means you'll protect your loved ones from the potential health harms of second-hand smoke (sometimes called passive smoking) which is dangerous for anyone exposed to it, especially for children.
