2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June) when Volunteer Centre Greenwich will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations in recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.

With this year’s theme of ‘Celebrate and Inspire’ we want to celebrate the contribution thousands of active volunteers make across our Borough along with encouraging local residents to get involved in a cause they care about, this could be

• helping to create a better greener environment at our local Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
   
• supporting our many local charity shops generating vital revenue to continue to run their valuable services for vulnerable members of our community
   
• promoting Woolwich High Street by helping at the range of night time events planned over the summer.

During the week we're running a series of roadshows, why not come along and find out how you can get involved

• Thursday 1st June 10-4pm, General Gordon Square next to the Woolwich DLR.  See what volunteer roles are on offer, grab a goody bag and ask any questions
   
• Friday 2nd June 10-4 outside Asda, Charlton SE7 7ST 
   
• Saturday 3rd June 12.30-2.30pm join us at the Thamesmead Volunteering Festival at the Moorings Socialable Club, Arnott Close, Thamesmead SE28 8BG
