Sew Social

Whether you want to upcycle or mend an existing garment, or you’re making something from scratch, bring it along and our tutor Mary Jane Baxter will support you with ideas and techniques. She’ll also demonstrate a new technique each week to help you extend your sewing repertoire and capabilities.
This five-week course is for people who can already use a sewing machine but who want to practice and extend their skills by working on their own projects in companionship with others. Learners will need to bring a basic sewing kit of fabric scissors, pins, thread, needles, and a fabric marking pen to the class in addition to their own project/s.
