We offer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) & Functional Skills Maths courses.

All our courses are delivered face-to-face in a supportive classroom environment by highly qualified trainers.

As a learner, you’ll be working towards a nationally recognised qualification in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or Functional Skills Maths.

We offer:

  • ESOL at Pre-Entry, Entry Level 1, 2, and 3 (covering Speaking & Listening, Reading, and Writing)
  • Functional Skills Maths at Entry Level 1, 2, and 3

Unity Works

Unity Works is a London based charity supporting people with a learning disability gain skills, qualifications and jobs. 

We deliver a programme of community learning courses for adults with a learning disability and/autism in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Our courses cover a wide range including employability, health and wellbeing, and independent living skills.

We can also accommodate tailored sessions to groups with similar interests and needs.

I liked it, I looked forward to coming to it. It was good being in a group with people and you can talk in the group one at a time. It helps hearing from other people about their upsets, so that you don't feel on your own.

UCRA

UCRA is a community organisation that delivers a range of course including ESOL, Functional Skills English and Maths, Preparation to work in Adult Care Level 1, 2 and 3, Diploma in Adult Care, Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity. Our courses are linked to skills shortages within the borough of Greenwich area with guaranteed job interview and job placement. Jobs include domiciliary carers, support worker in residential homes or nursing home or maternity wards

You will learn about how to communicate with the service user, health and safety, safeguarding and prevent, infection control, but to mention a few. This is the quickest route to progress into Nursing and we shall support you all the way to the end

We offer courses online via Teams/Zoom in the comfort of your home. Learners can borrow a laptop if needed.

I love my lessons here at the Greenwich Park Centre. I enjoy it as much for the social occasion as I do for the expert tuition I receive from the tutor. This course has definitely brought out all of the talents I have had hidden away for many years.

GCDA

GCDA has worked in Greenwich for over 35 years supporting the community to thrive through training & enterprise support. We offer a wide range of training for those wanting to start their own business, learn new culinary skills, develop a food project or progress their business. Expert trainers with industry experience and expertise are on hand to support you, ensuring you have all the tools you need to be a success. Courses are interactive, informative and fun with practical hands-on activities, developing skills needed to succeed.

GCDA also specialises in health promotion. We work with Children’s Centres to deliver Nourishing Nippers – aimed at parents/carers who are introducing solids to their babies; and Fun with Food – aimed at parents/carers and toddlers to encourage families to eat a wide range of delicious, healthy foods whilst bonding over a fun, interactive session.

The tutors bring the know-how, but also the energy and positivity. I’ve made the right decision choosing this course before committing myself to a business I have had no prior experience in.

Flower Skills

Would you like to learn or improve your tiling, brickwork, plastering, painting, or decorating skills? Whether it is to improve your DIY skills or look for work in the construction sector – we can help.

Flower Skills offer a range of courses in construction skills. These include courses leading to City & Guilds qualifications which run for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. We cover construction skills and construction health and safety – including the CSCS test (card included on some courses).

Taster courses are also available – these run for between 3 and 5 days and offer an introduction to basic construction skills.

 

Courses start regularly, so please contact us for dates for your preferred course.
